Description
Enjoy crispy, tangy dill pickles made easily in your air fryer. A perfect appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup dill pickle slices, drained
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and water.
- In another shallow bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and paprika.
- Dip each pickle slice into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
- Dredge the egg-coated pickle slice in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it’s well coated.
- Place the coated pickle slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
- Spray the pickles lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can double-coat the pickles. Dip in egg, then breadcrumbs, then egg again, and finally breadcrumbs again.
- Ensure pickles are well-drained to prevent sogginess.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
