A simple and delicious homemade blueberry syrup perfect for pancakes, waffles, or drizzling over desserts.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine blueberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until blueberries have burst and the syrup has thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
- Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean jar or container. Discard the solids.
- Let cool completely before serving or storing.
Notes
- For a thicker syrup, simmer for a few extra minutes.
- For a smoother syrup, you can press the blueberries through the sieve with the back of a spoon.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
