Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine blueberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until blueberries have burst and the syrup has thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean jar or container. Discard the solids.
  6. Let cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes
