- 1 cup chopped apples (about 1 medium apple)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Continue cooking, swirling occasionally, until the butter turns a golden brown color and smells nutty. This is brown butter. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cooled brown butter and brown sugar until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chopped apples and nuts (if using).
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra moisture, you can use slightly more apples.
- Ensure your brown butter has cooled enough so it doesn’t cook the eggs.
- Allowing the blondies to cool completely will make them easier to cut.
