Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Combine chopped apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, water, and lemon juice in a large pot.
  2. Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until apples are tender and the mixture has thickened. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and butter until fully incorporated and melted.
  6. Continue to simmer for another 5-10 minutes, stirring, until the jam reaches your desired consistency.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before jarring.
