Quick and flavorful Korean beef bowls with a spicy-sweet gochujang sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 4 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Optional toppings: chopped scallions, sesame seeds, sliced cucumber

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  4. Pour the sauce over the beef mixture in the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Serve the gochujang beef mixture over cooked rice.
  6. Garnish with optional toppings.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of gochujang to control the spice level.
  • Add a splash of water if the sauce becomes too thick.
