Quick and flavorful Korean beef bowls with a spicy-sweet gochujang sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 4 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Optional toppings: chopped scallions, sesame seeds, sliced cucumber
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
- Pour the sauce over the beef mixture in the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the gochujang beef mixture over cooked rice.
- Garnish with optional toppings.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of gochujang to control the spice level.
- Add a splash of water if the sauce becomes too thick.
- This recipe can be made with thinly sliced beef instead of ground beef.
