Description

A quick and satisfying one-pan meal featuring pierogies and kielbasa, perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen pierogies
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add pierogies and onion to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until pierogies are golden brown and onion is softened, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Bring to a simmer and cook until broth has reduced slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stir in parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use any type of kielbasa you prefer.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
  • For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
