Description
A vibrant and refreshing homemade lemonade bursting with the natural sweetness of fresh berries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6–8 lemons)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
- Extra berries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the fresh mixed berries and 1/4 cup of water. Blend until smooth. Strain the berry puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, and the remaining 3 3/4 cups of water to the pitcher.
- Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the strained berry puree to the pitcher and stir to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sugar or a touch more lemon juice for tartness.
- Serve immediately over ice, garnished with fresh mint sprigs and extra berries if desired.
Notes
- For a less sweet lemonade, reduce the amount of sugar.
- You can use any combination of your favorite berries.
- For a smoother texture, you can strain the berry puree twice.
- This lemonade can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The flavor may intensify over time.
