Description

Quick and flavorful hoisin garlic noodles. This recipe is perfect for a weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dried noodles (spaghetti or linguine work well)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. While noodles cook, heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the drained noodles to the skillet. Toss to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce.
  7. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until noodles are heated through.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds (if using).
  9. Serve immediately.
