- 8 ounces dried noodles (spaghetti or linguine work well)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- While noodles cook, heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the drained noodles to the skillet. Toss to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes until noodles are heated through.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds (if using).
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can add cooked protein like chicken, shrimp, or tofu.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
- Other vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli can be added.
