- 2 cans (15 ounces each) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Mash the black beans in a large bowl with a fork or potato masher.
- Add breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the mashed beans.
- Mix all ingredients until well combined.
- Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, until heated through and golden brown.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce to the mixture.
- Serve on your favorite buns with your preferred toppings like lettuce, tomato, avocado, and onion.
