Description

A simple and comforting chicken and rice casserole that’s perfect for a relaxed meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces, uncooked rice, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and water.
  3. Stir well to mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 50 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top.
  9. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and rice is fully cooked.
  10. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

  • You can add frozen peas or diced carrots for extra vegetables.
  • For a richer flavor, use milk instead of water.
