- 8 slices of bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
- Arrange the cubed bread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the plastic wrap and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown and set in the center.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can use any type of bread, such as challah, brioche, or even day-old white bread.
